The Mařský Vrch lookout tower stands about 8 kilometres north of Vimperk, on the hill of the same name. From the 12-metre-high tower, in good weather, you can enjoy lovely views over part of Šumava and the Brdy hills, though the view is obstructed on other sides by overgrown trees.
The climb is short and easy, suitable for the whole family, including younger children. After the climb, we recommend stopping at one of the local pubs in the area.
